Denby Fawcett is a political reporter for KITV-4-News. She has been a news reporter since her junior year at Punahou School when she wrote a column for the Honolulu Star Bulletin.

Denby's job has taken her to cover wars in Vietnam, Cambodia and Haiti. She is an author of the book War Torn published by Random House of New York. War Torn is a collection of personal stories from Denby and eight other women journalists about their experiences covering the Vietnam War.

Denby is a graduate of Columbia University. She was also a Knight Fellow at Stanford University. She has completed all the required work for a Doctorate in Anthropology at the University of Hawaii with the exception of a dissertation.

Denby is married to journalist Bob Jones. Their daughter, Brett, is a foreign affairs specialist living in Kosovo with her Danish diplomat husband.
